DREAM (2020)
A durational, autobiographical performance exploring memory, loss, and the persistence of childhood experience.
Inspired by a vivid childhood dream in which the artist became lost in the reeds and awoke in her father’s arms — a memory sharpened by his passing after 18 years of separation — DREAM transforms intimate reverie into a performative space. Through embodied presence and visual enactment, the work traces how early emotional landscapes continue to shape perception, grief, and the formation of self.
Presented at the Performance Festival, Museum of Odesa Modern Art, Ukraine, and curated by Vera Iona Papadopoulou, the performance invites reflection on the porous boundary between dream and lived experience, and how early memories resonate through time as carriers of both loss and connection.
