FAT (2020)
A durational performance reflecting on food, embodiment, and the cultural anxieties of sustenance and survival.
Presented at the Green Theater food court as part of the Odesa Museum Festival, FAT situates a bodily inquiry within the everyday space of eating and public exchange. Against the backdrop of communal food culture, the performance reconsiders how food — as both necessity and metaphor — intersects with personal histories, social structures, and inherited patterns of care and constraint.
Through embodied presence and temporal duration, the work explores how nourishment becomes a charged site of desire and denial, survival and vulnerability. FAT unfolds as an attentive reflection on the corporeal and symbolic economies of food, asking how bodies carry both appetite and anxiety within cultural and affective landscapes.

Performed at the Green Theater, Odesa, Ukraine, the project was curated by Vera Ion Papadopoulou and lasted approximately 70 minutes.
