FROSTY GREY (2018)

A contemplative photographic series captured in Odesa, Ukraine, that explores atmosphere, memory, and the unseen rhythms of everyday life.

Photographed in 2018, FROSTY GREY evokes the nuanced interplay between light, texture, and mood — revealing how urban space and weathered surfaces intersect with personal and collective presence. Through a restrained, grey‑toned visual language, the series reveals quiet moments of stillness, reflection, and the subtle marks left by time on architectural and human environments.

Rather than document singular events, these images work as affective traces of place, inviting the viewer to engage with the emotional resonances embedded in ordinary scenes. The palette and compositional restraint foreground a tactile sensitivity to atmosphere and silence, situating the work at the intersection of documentary gaze and poetic observation.

Several photographs from this series were presented in September 2025 at the The 11th Annual Autumnal Exhibition at Ideal Glass Studio in New York, USA, where they contributed to a broader dialogue about place, perception, and the aesthetics of absence.
