On October 28, Maryna takes part in HIAP Open Studio in Helsinki

During this event She will present her art practice and speak about her escape from the war in Ukraine, her life in exile and how this experience has influenced her art.  Artist will also speak about transformation from a lawyer into an artist. During the presentation she will introduce previous performances accompanied by photo and video documentation.

𝙷𝙸𝙰𝙿 𝙾𝙿𝙴𝙽 𝚂𝚃𝚄𝙳𝙸𝙾𝚂
The event offers the unique opportunity to meet up and engage into conversations with the resident artists and curators, get to know more about their practice, and view the work that they are currently developing as part of their residency. This season’s event takes place in the second half of the Autumn residency season that runs until mid-November, and allows a glimpse into various stages of artistic work, research and experimentation.

This year’s Open Studios also showcases works from Ukrainian artists who are residents of the Ukraine Solidarity Residencies Programme network.
